About Our Market...

The Hood County Farmers Market is now a 501c3 non-profit!

We created this market out of the need for a consistent year around market that brings the freshest local produce, meat, baked goods and more to the people of Granbury and Hood County.

Our local vendors proudly support our local food system and believe in building a community of providers that specialize in fresh, local, and flavorful products.

The Hood County Farmers Market is not only a chance to support a local producer but a chance to connect with neighbors and discover the wonderful products our community has to offer.

Come join us on Saturday mornings at the Hood County YMCA and you will find friendly faces that are excited to share the story behind their products.

Our vendors are families just like yours, and our market community has become a family to us.

Our family can't wait to meet your family... we'll see you Saturday morning!

Cherokee Lakes Farm

Mariah Mercer is owner of Cherokee Lakes Farm and member of the Hood County Farmers Market team.

Cherokee Lakes Farm is a 1 acre No-Till bio-intensive market garden that provides nutrient dense produce for the Granbury community.

We focus on heirloom and open pollinated varieties to promote sustainability and a flavorful array of fruits and vegetables.

Our farming methods encourage a healthy living ecosystem and soil microbiome by using natural methods of making our own fertilizers, increasing the amount of organic matter by using compost and cover crops and without the use of any pesticides or herbicides.

We love what we do and are always happy to share any information and farming methods we use and study at our farm!

Hall's Microgreens

This family-owned farm is run by Laura Hall, Treasurer of the Hood County Farmers Market.

Taste the fresh flavor of Hall's Microgreens, locally grown right here in Granbury using sustainable growing methods to produce flavorful microgreens bursting with vitamins and minerals, grown year-round in a climate-controlled indoor environment without relying on pesticides, herbicides or fungicides.

Basil, arugula, broccoli, spicy mustard and radish are just a few of the microgreen varieties you will find when you visit us at the market. These living greens retain their peak nutrition when harvested and sold locally and directly to you.

Plus, Hall's raises free-range chickens and naturally kept quail. These birds are fed a non-GMO diet to produce omega-3-rich eggs for sale that are also available each Saturday at the market.
